Course Curriculum:

• Legal & Regulatory Framework: In-depth exploration of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 and “no-lift” policies.

• The TILEO Framework: Learning to conduct comprehensive, person-centred risk assessments (Task, Individual, Load, Environment, Other).

• Spinal Awareness & Biomechanics: Understanding the musculoskeletal system to prevent long-term injury and promote caregiver health.

• Practical Equipment Mastery: Extensive hands-on training with essential aids, including hoists, slide sheets, standing aids, and transfer boards.

• Dignity & Independence: Techniques for assisting individuals while prioritising their comfort and promoting their own functional mobility.

• Complex Transfers: Managing challenging environments and unique mobility needs within the care sector.
