Course Curriculum:

• The ABCDE Approach: A systematic framework for recognising and assessing deteriorating patients.

• High-Quality Resuscitation: Mastering chest compression depth and rate, alongside effective rescue breaths.

• Specialist Protocols: In-depth training on the “5 initial rescue breaths” for drowning/paediatric cases and the jaw thrust technique for suspected spinal injuries.

• Defibrillation (AED): Step-by-step guidance on the safe and confident use of an Automated External Defibrillator.

• Airway Management: Identifying and clearing obstructions (choking) and correct use of the recovery position.

• Risk & Environment: Understanding scene safety and professional responsibilities within a care setting.
