Last weekend, our Alton Branch Manager – Lou – organised a charity indoor bike ride at the Royal Exchange Pub in Lindford. The newly elected Mayor of Bordon, Leeroy Scott, attended the launch of the bike ride. Later in the evening a charity raffle was held with some increadible items, including a holiday to Tenerife.
The bike ride lasted for 24 hours and members of the local community turned out in force and each selected a 30 minute slot to ride the bike for charity.
All money raised went towards The Rosemary Foundation – The Rosemary Foundation was founded in 1997 by a group of dedicated former staff members of the Bordean House palliative care unit, to provide a ‘Hospice at Home’ service for patients suffering from cancer and other life-limiting illnesses in and around Hampshire.
Melody Care also directly donated £1000 to the total.
