Respite Care
Respite care is short-term support that gives regular carers a much-needed break — whether it’s for a family emergency, illness, or just a well-earned holiday. It can be planned or arranged quickly when needed, and we’re here to help make the transition as smooth as possible.
We also provide respite care after hospital stays. If a loved one needs a care plan in place before coming home, we’re happy to visit them in hospital, chat through their needs, and work closely with family and healthcare teams to make sure everything’s ready for a safe, comfortable return.
How It Works
Every year, we support families across Surrey and Hampshire with trusted home care. Here’s how easy it is to get the right care in place for you or your loved one.

Initial Enquiry
Just give us a quick call or send an online enquiry — our friendly, experienced team will chat with you about what you need and walk you through all the basics.

Care Consultation
Next, one of our Care Managers will visit you and your family to get a clear understanding of your needs, help put together a care plan, and answer any questions you might have.

Matching You With the Right Care Team
Once the assessment is done and you're happy to go ahead, we’ll match you with the right care team for your needs and make sure they’re fully up to speed with everything that matters to you.

Provision of Care
The final step is getting your care started. With branches in Aldershot, Alton, Farnborough, and Camberley, we’ll introduce you to your local care team and be there to support you every step of the way.
How Can Melody Care Help?
Melody Care offers short-term support that matches your loved one’s usual level of care, so you can take a break knowing they’re in safe, capable hands. With local branches in Aldershot, Alton, Farnborough and Camberley, we’re always close by when you need us.

“We have used Melody Care for the last two years since Mum was diagnosed with dementia. We have now entered a new phase with Mum now having end of life care following a metastatic cancer diagnosis. I can’t speak highly enough of the excellent care being provided from carers who really DO care, not just for Mum but also looking out for me, as the main supporter of mother. They have dealt with social services on my behalf and that’s taken quite a bit of stress away. They really are our friends and I can’t thank them enough.”
