How has working in care impacted you?
“It has allowed me the opportunity to grow personally and learn that there is no launguage barrier that can’t be overcome with the right tools. It’s opened up a whole world of other possibilities for me as a Carer.”
What do you do outside of Care?
“I dedicate my time to my 4 sons – They take up a lot of my spare time. However any chance I get, I like to dabble in mechanics, I am currently restoring a Mini. In a way, it’s similar to care, in how you learn and improve along the way.”
Why are you working in care?
“I was always told that I was made to help people. I really wouldn’t change it for anything else in the world.

Why Melody Care?
“It’s got to be the flexibility. I originally joined Melody Care from another care agency and have stayed because I like it here.”
What do you enjoy outside of care?
“I love walking, walking is my favourite thing. I love spending time with my grandchildren. Whenever I can, I like to go away on holidays abroad. I just came back from a beautiful caribbean cruise.”
What impact has care had on you personally?
“I think you make a real difference, our client’s really look forward to us visiting. I come away feeling like I have done something good. The clients always have fascinating stories about their lives”
Why do you work in care?
“I originally went into care because I saw an advert and I thought I’d have a go, didn’t originally think I’d like it. Once I started, there was never really any turning back. I got to realise how lucky I am in life, with my health and my family. I’d like to think that if I ever need care, that I would have a company like Melody Care supporting me.”

Why Melody Care?
“I have a small child and I was struggling to find a job that would accomodate me. When I came to Melody Care they were very flexible and this allowed me to fit my work in around my son.”
How has working in care impacted you?
“It makes a real difference. Going to meet our clients in their own home, they really show their appreciation. It makes me happy.”
What do you do outside of Care?
“I like going shopping and going to the cinema with my daughter. I don’t often work a Saturday so we will go out for a movie and shop together. It’s great to be able to spend quality family time with my daughter and do a role I enjoy that fits around that.”
Why are you working in care?
“I like making a difference in peoples lives, helping them to be able to do things they might not have been able to do without my support. They can achieve whatever they want and seeing them happy really makes my day.”
